So we popped gymwards s'morning and Timmy said "No swimming, you are still blowing your nose, do you want to do a long cycle or one with fast bursts?" so I cycled for 20 mins going as fast as feck from 4.5 - 5 mins, same at 10, 15 and 20.

Dunno, I did, IIRC, 5km-ish which averages out at 15kmh

Wind Has Dropped

And last night's scary wind seems to have dropped again s'morning...... it's quiet again now...

Weep, bitter tears....

Dunno what to say, just modern technology..... and it is for sale to everyone, not even a specialist shop...

Not Adventurous

And as it is raining heavily I don't feel very like going to Men's Shed tonight, it is miles from where we park the car until we are undercover

Excess Shopping

So we popped to Morrison's s'afternoon to pick up some 'eat every day' products and some drinking chocolate, which I had a sachet of t'other night (which had been in the cupboard for... a couple of years) and rather enjoyed it so we were on a hunt for 'just add hot water' d/c

Oops

So we headed gymwards, did 2 lifty machines then got on the bike. I did 3km then jumped off and picked up my bumbag etc. RoyGBiv said "Aren't you gonna do the rest?". Ah, 3km was on the rowing machine, I was supposed to do 10km on the bike today.

Whoops. So he has been told to remind me next week......

Walk and Shout

So we decided to go to town for a walk around. We got there and the lower road was closed so we had to head up to King St and park up there. We walked down the hill and suddenly could see why the lower road was closed. Oodles of fox hunters were having a parade through town while loads of protesters shouted at them, which I had to join in shouting, the scumbags were showing off

Happy New.......

So as it is New Years Day there is nowt to do, nowt on. Gym is closed, many shops are closed...... we will head to town in a bit and have a walk and a brew somewhere, I think

Celebrating?

And we are off out in a bit to the pub up the road for a new years celebration. Wonder how many locals will be there?

And it wasn't too bad actually. OK, most of the night we talked to 1-3 folk but it filled up at the end

AND as recommended, I just drank the normal strength bitter, 4%, rather than the treat one which was 6%. So I could drink 4 pints and still walk back to the car without any disasters etc, whereas with the stronger ones 3 pints is my limit

Windy As Feck

And last night when I was lying in bed there was an enormous gust of wind, really strong, the power went off for a couple of seconds then came back on.

All the digital clocks said it was 00:00 for a couple more seconds before they settled down and said 04:43 or whatever it was. My PC in the bedroom that had been switched off "came back to life" and had to be manually switched off when I got up s'morning

Itches

And I noticed today... I had an itchy bit on my back. But I didn't scratch it, I just rubbed the itchy bit with the finger tips of my hand. Very strange, not scratching, no bleedin' bits, no blood but just rubbing makes the itch stop/go away

Thera-fscking-putic

So me and GGtGG popped into town today, popped into a charity shop to donate my watch that I bought for £1.45 on Ebay and can't read, and just walked for miles(1), theraputic-fscking-ally.

But in the charity shop they had next Christmases wish

(1) Along King St, past the old Town Hall, down the big hill past it, turn right at bottom, along for a bit then back uphill past Caffi Iechyd Da, back along King St to the car

Quiet Day

So gym is closed today so bugger all on. We might pop out for a walk later but I need to have an earlyish bath so I have got time to finish all my creams etc before Brian&Rita and Sam&Emma arrive just after 4

Lordy. Very strange to see them, but pleasant. Later they phoned Julia and spoke to her then said "Oh, we will have to make out own food when we get back" so I offered them some of the stuff that I had made today, so they said "Yep". It was very odd cooking for a total of 6 people but I managed, and a number of people commented on how calm I was the whole way thru

But I forgot to take a picture!!!

Sigh

So we said "Let's go shopping" but only got about half way there when I said "Save fuel, lets go to gym on the way" so we popped to gym, did various machines and now I am about 85% of the way though a 10km cycle

Well after finishing that we made it to More Reasons To Shop At.... and did a bigger pile of shopping than usual. I did some shopping of products that we found cheaper elsewhere but thinking about the extra time driving, parking etc I might not have saved much in the elsewhere shops

Excited

Then after a quiet nooneraft I am waiting for Sam&Emma, Toby and Freya to arrive then we are all heading out for dinner.

After a brief exchange of pressies with Sam&Emma who I haven't seen yet this Crimbly

Well they were find. All 4 of them had dinner and pudding with me. What can I say except "I am not worthy..." which ever direction it was aimed in

Found It

So ages ago I bought another small torch device to keep in my pocket. It was bigger than the one I did use in the end but I was looking for it rather than buying more batteries. Couldn't find it. Neither could 3 or 4 MOS. None of us could find it.

But out "looking for it" technique must have been a bit wonky

Last night I looked in the same place as I had looked in many times, where many other chaps had looked too. Found it

Walkies

So we headed into town for a walk about as my gym timetable says "Swim" s'afternoon and I am too poorly with the cold to do that but it fscking started to rain just as we got there, continued to rain on us as we walked along King St.....

Bank Holiday

And I got my dole s'morning that I was supposed to get 2 days ago but it has been a bank holiday since then.....

Phew, relieved...
