Excited

So I am gonna have a shower tonight and this time I am gonna try out my back washer, try and scrub myself with the big brush

And big WOW, it f**king works, it is the first time my shoulders have been washed since I stopped needing help to wash.I can wash the top half of my back with "it" and reach the rest of my back freehand.

DVLA

So even tho the DVLA have said that I can't drive for now I did an official DVLA practice theory test. I did it in about 1/3 of the time allocated and score 100%. Obviously some part of my brain still works

But I failed the second test, only 41 out of 50

Woe is me (again)

And I began to realise how fu*ked my eyes must be

But I started another game, with twisting my head/neck around from the first go and it worked this time

Stories

So I am bored trying to read the (new) long story that I have so I started reading another book of short stories. The first story impressed me so much that I had to scan it and make it available for all you lot to read

My Memory

Well, my medium term memory seems to be getting better. Every time I open the bank I have to type in the password and then a few letters from the remembered fact. Usually I had to look up the password on my "secret" file but I could remember the more obvious to me remembered fact. But it seems that the last 2 or 3 times I did it I remembered the password too

I got a letter from the DVLA s'morning telling me I can't see well enough to drive, ATbleedin'M

Busy

So in about an hour the first Taxi is coming to take me to Priory Day Hospital to take back my new too small splint and change it for one that actually fits me.

WOW, I have the new splint now and it feels so much "Pulling my ankle tightly" than the old one did

After that I am going to Caffi Iechyd Da for the Folk Night and dinner etc. I thought I was getting a lift but her car is broken ATM so I will have to pay for my accompaniers taxi too

But WOW wasn't it excellent tonight, I am a bit too drunk to type more but just WOW

I am relatively pleased that someone is accompanying me, I thought I was gonna have to go on my own but "they" have asked someone to work a very strange work pattern today so they can accompany me

I didn't go to bed until 2 AM last night and I still woke up and got up at a quarter to nine s'morning

Washing and Drying

Well I had a shower today and as usual was struggling to wash my back. Afterwards I got dried, used my toe drier which was easier today but then I noticed ¾ of the way twixt my handle and the 'drying' sponge was another 'cleaning' bit. If I had noticed earlier I would have had to take off the 'drying sponge' temporarily then washed my back with the other brushy bit.

Och well, next time, but it did prove easier

Someone cut my hair for me today but they insisted that I have a shave too

Disabled Loo's

So this morning the posty brought me a) A change of my dental appointment, this one is sooner!!, and b) My key for disabled toilets around the country and a book telling me where they are

So I got up s'morning, put back on the socks I had only been wearing for a couple of hours last night, then breakfasted, then phoned the Taxi company and booked 2 for tomorrow. (sigh) tomorrow after lunch I need to take my new splint back and have the size readjusted then in the evening I am going to the Folk Club in Carmarthen.
Then I will brush my teeth for s'morning

Change~Of~Plan

"Someone" told me that Jackie is working tomorrow after all and she has permission to take me to the Folk Club in her car, so I phoned back and cancelled one taxi

And tonight, for the first time, I tried out my new "toe drier" And WOW it works. Tonight I had my shower, got dried, got dressed and was able to put boots on straight away, like I haven't been able to do for some years

After all that I had to try again putting a link from part of a picture and I managed it on Sarah. So you can now magnify part of the picture and see what it is

Then the lovely Sarah the OT came to see me. I still can't decide whether OT stands for Off Topic or Occupational Therapist. Anyway she assessed my memory and I was actually surprised at how well I did etc. Next week she is gonna get some extra ingredients for me and watch me cook Falafel for me and Freya next Tuesday afternoon

Busy 1

Well much earlier today, much earlier than usual but she is on a half term week, that beautiful Freya chick came over to see me. After some txt issues 'cos she was waiting for a bus that didn't come etc. Eventually she got here and paid me some attention and my technology some attention. But what can we say to each other, I am glad to see her getting bigger and she is pleased to see me getting better

"It's light better get up"

So I woke up, thought "It's light better get up" got up, got dressed &c, finally managed to look at my watch and it was only 7.30AM. This post-solstice light is still doing my head in a bit

Headway

And we went out to Headway for a monthly meeting but they had no guest speaker tonight so it was sort out lots of arrangements &c

Parcel

The postman came before I got up s'morning and delivered 2 letters. Later a MOS came up with 3 parcels that he had left in number 7. Dunno why, perhaps he realised my lights were still off. Anyway 1 parcel was my new wash AND DRY your toes device so hopefully I can dry my toes on my right foot now. 2 other parcels were new speakers and wire for my PC. Good lord, I hadn't realized how sh*t the sound had become but now I can listen to it happily.

Because a MOS fitted them for me, I couldn't

Walkies, HUGE

Well, in the past the furthest I have walked was once up and down the street without stopping, today I did it twice, from one end to the other and back and back and back again, the furthest I have walked in nearly 8 years.
