Up And....

Well today I am just busy from start to finish. Looking out the window, drinking tea....... OK, not a very busy day

There is no fun on my timetable 'til Monday, Burry Port Folk Club-bing then

Music

And Julia brought me over an box of MP3 CD's t'other day, an old collection of mine. I tried to rip them but it wouldn't work so I put the box to one side, I thought that they hadn't worked, not burned properly or summat. Today I was showing Paul, he said "Yep, fair enough, but can you see the tracks on the disc?". Ever since slightly further on in that conversation I have been copy and pasting Julia's CD's onto my PC, it works now that I know a slightly different approach

Splint

And today I have just had on 2 shoes, no splint. And this afternoon, after our adventure to the swimming pool I set off outside to walk up and down and my foot still behaved itself without the splint. Staying upright is much easier now, still needs some concentration but it works

What a day

So Paul came over later, we went to the swimming pool soon after. It was the first time I have a) been in the pool with only 1 person to look after me, and b) worn my new googles which seemed to work etc. I was a bit non-summated about washing, showering, myself afterwards but it all went OK

I don't think there is owt as noticeable as last week but my arm feels better and more moveable this week

And after our swim we stayed and I had a lunch at the pool café, which was nice too

So I woke up and got up early-ish today. My trunks are on etc. So I am waiting to see if the van containing my footwear arrives from Llanelli (!) before I go, according to online checking it is on it's way

And when we had been to the swimming pool and came back what was sitting on my doormat? So next week I shall try my grippy shoe type things

So then later I went off with Ed. First of all I went to Lloyd's and paid in the cash that I had been sitting on here, because apparently I can have loadsa cash and still recieve full disability payments so wait and see now. After that we went to Ben and Jerry's for lunch. It was the first time Ed had been there and we both enjoyed it immensely

Ebay Wurks

So because I had sum advice on what to do I reset up Paypal on ebay so hopefully it will work now

OK, so I went shopping, and found another eye~patch which looks loosere than the 'play' ones I have been using, so hopefully will be better for me.

The point is ebay works!!!

Socks

And after having a shower tonight I got dressed and came back out, I didn't put on my socks and splint, and good lord but it feels different now, my right foot is going down properly etc etc. It hasn't done this for so long, and I am going to the swimming pool again on Friday, it might help me again

With Little Chap

So today me and little Paul got it together. Last night I was awake at about 6AM but by the time my alarm clock went off I was asleep, big style. So by the time I had woken up enough to do my splint, eat breakfast and do a big pooh Paul was already here, I didn't even have time to drink my coffee first. Anyway once he arrive and I finished my coffee, he did a few chores, said "Lets leave the gardening until it is dry" then we headed off into Carmarthen, into that evil Tesco's shop, where we bought some swimming goggles and a little mini kick board float type thing. Then we went off to the end of King St to that restaurant, Frankie and Benny's, we ate at last week where we had another different meal, which was as delicious as last weeks.

That Paul has taken my goggles and a black marker pen, that we also bought, away to colour in the right hand lens, to make it opaque

And...

So I started today tapping my foot. Then the meeting came here, all 4 of "my" staff. Last night the chap was talking about how we can find it exhausting just being in a difficult, stressful, conversation and now I believe him. After much nonsense I went off into the kitchen with Sarah and we made this evenings delicious dinner, it was Moroccan Mushrooms With Cous Cous and it was very delicous. About a third was put in the freezer for another day.

THEN my staff finished and went home.

THEN Freya came and really enjoyed her food

Dinner

And for dinner tonight I had summat that I cooked. No instructions on a packet, no recipe, it was the first meal that I have made up in some time, and it was nice!!

Yes, I had leftover leek, leftover celery, leftover summat else with Pesto and a Cous Cous and stuff fry up.

Headway-ing

Then someone came to see me and said "Anthony isn't going to H/W tonight, his cars broken". So I felt but today is the last day for giving in our "going on holiday with the kids" forms, so I asked Ed and he has to leave about 8.30 but can take me. Phew

And wow that was interesting, even tho he spoke after 8.30 it was still very interesting, fatigue and brain injury

Ed-ding

So first of all I got up etc then had to wait, after breakfast etc, for about a half for Ed. He came in, made my bed again as I had taken the sheets and blankets off and washed them, then we went off to Morrisons, shopping. There I went in my chair for most of it but stood up about an aisle away from the till. Gosh but it was very hard concentrating on keeping my foot upright but I managed. I stayed on my feet, easy if I'm not trolley-ing, paid and pushed the trolley away. Then I sat down again. Yes, it was very difficult but next week I will try an aisle and a quarter etc etchttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Then we came back, put the shopping away then went back to Morrisons as I had said "Cash till" as we came out but as we had chilled food we didn't stop on the way out. We parked the car opposite, about 20yds away and I said "No chair", got out with my walky stick and walked all the way there and back. It was only a short walk but it felt important for me to say "No chair"

When we came back we went on Ebay to try and buy a wallet for my parking permit. It all went pear shaped but them we went online and tried to sort out my paypal account so next time I will be able to use that and pay on ebay

Telly

Good lord, I have watched loadsa telly today. There was loadsa MotoGP motorbike racing today, 2 races rather then 1, then there was an F1 race this evening, which was rained off, so far. It ran for 20 minutes then they said "Nah"

Double good lord, I was looking at www site a number of hours later to see the result and they were just about to restart the race. So it is running now, it's nearly bedtime and they are just in mid~race

So I was remembering that I used to like The Friday Rock Show so tonight I got out my copy of iplayer and it's now on as The Monday Midnight Rock Show, which I am listening to ATM. But next I will listen to the 2.00AM on Tuesday Morning Punk Show which is a lot more radical than R1 used to do when I still listened to it

And my right foot still seems to be bending nearly as far as yesterday. Hoo-flippin'-ray

And as they were setting up for The Summer Fete it rained big style so they had to move it down the road. Then it stopped raining. Then as I was sitting outside with a long face on someone offered me a lift, so I went and thoroughly enjoyed it. If a bit strange I still enjoyed it.

Lie In

And it was 9.30 before I got up today, a very big lie in by modern standards

Wow, what a day

Well firstly Paul came round here. We went straight out to a Mobile Phone Shop in Carmarthen. It looked promising but they didn't have 1 I could try. So we went to another Phone Shop and they had one I could try. Good lord, it is more impressive (to me) than Paul's phone and available cheaper. My heart is set on a Nokia E7 and now we have loadsa hassle 'cos they want my debit card address to be exact whereas it actually says Scotland cos my sister is my deputy. So I suspect, that he will contact Denyse later, she will contact big sister and she will order my phone from up there and ask them to deliver it here. Or summat.

THEN after all this excitement we came back here, ate cheese and onion pasties, and Sara arrived. We all went together to the swimming pool in Carmarthen. Gosh it felt good, I wasn't swimming but floating, walking in the water with no splint on etc. It felt strange being in the water but I suspect that my right leg was freeing up slightly

And good lord, but my right heel seems much more touch floorable even tho it is hours since I was in't water, it may have done me some good.

For some reason my PC had stopped opening links in a browser when I clicked them, so I had to copy and paste links into Firefox. So I was trying to sort it out. I looked on the www, then I looked again, looked again etc. In the end I was on a page and there was a click to see if Firefox is the default browser button, I thought "Why not?" clicked it and it said "No, wanna connect it?" so I obviously clicked yes and now it works. It has been broken for days

Eding

So this morning I woke, sat up in bed, was putting on my splint etc when my alarm clock went off. Gosh, a lie in by my standards. I finished splinting, went had breakfast, went to the loo and did an enormous pooh, came out of the bathroom and Ed knocked the door. So we went was too far east on the M4 to the Wildlife Trust where I did good work on the PC

Paul

Then Paul came over, and waited a bit as we were still at Dr's, and then did loadsa paper work and hoovering etc. We talked loads and I had a play with his phone, I now want one like that, internet, GPS, camera, and more to the point notepad, etc and loads of other aps. and download more if I want some. He knows the score, if we find one that I want then I will have to email the serial no. to Carolyn who will then, as my prefect, set up an account so it will be paid monthly. And I think it is about 25% more than I use in PAYG every month and a lot posher. If we can find one that I like and can use

Busy

So first thing s'morning I went to the Asthma Clinic with Denyse. We spoke to the nurse, and that was a busy conversation. For a start she told me that I can take between 2 and 8 puffs a day of brown puff, I currently use 4. It depends on how many blue puffs I am needing, if it is less than 2 or 3 per week then lower the brown dosage. She also said "Want to try one of these?" and showed me an Aerochamber device that you take your puffs thru to make them seem stronger. So if it works I will be able to drop brown puffs

Wiv Freya

And it went reasonably well with Freya today. She was still using my PC almost exclusively and shouting at me but I said to her at one point "So I realise that we don't need to speak etc, you are just here 'cos you wanna be with me" and she looked a bit embarrassed but agreed

Ooh

So Sarah with an H, the OT, came around to see me today. We talked for a bit then got stuck into making Refried Bean Quesadillas which look very good, sitting on a plate ready to go into t'oven and have some last stuff poured over then me and Freya will eat them

And good lord but it was delicious if a bit hard to cut up. We added so much stuff afterwards that I couldn't just pick up a piece, but me and Freya both made positive noises

Tum Ti Tum

So today is the only day this week when I don't have a MMMs coming in't morning but after lunch Sarah, the OT is coming and I expect to make some equally easy delicious food.

Paul

Gosh, later we were taken off by Paul and he took us to an excellent folk club, we enquired and it is on the first and the third Mondays of the month

Scared / intimidated

So in a bit we are going off to get my weeks shopping and I am gonna attempt to walk everywhere again

And I didn't manage, my right foot was turning over as I walked, like last week, but since then I have the email saying "Relearning" so I didn't want my right foot to learn all wrong so I stopped walking ½ an aisle later then refused to go any more. I came back here and put my shopping away and had sum lunch etc then Ed said "Walk outside with me" so I tried and now I could do it without my foot turning over. So perhaps next week I will walk but be 'chaired round the shop

Then, after lunch we went out, for one direction I asked to goto Cwrt Henri which still makes me feel a bit emotional, even tho it was before Freya was born when we lived there

Phone Call

And I received a phone call today from Brian, Julia's dad. We chatted for a bit, I think his main conversation was "How's Toby?" and I think I was able to make his heart beat better. I think and I hope

I haven't got into Frank Zappa for some time but I have tonight "Why does it hurt" etc etc etc

Gosh, it is boring not being busy as I am 6 days next week. Although I did learn why I need to use my 'stick, to stop my body relearning how to walk all wonky

Much Later

So Paul came round and did some dull paperwork then took me out. Just before we went out I switched off the PC so I wasn't able to check the address of a good local veggie place, we went round town two or 3 times before a brain wave struck paul and we went to Frankie and Benny's in Carmarthen in what I remember as the cattle market car park, but it is now an enormous shopping center. Gosh it was mostly meat but we both had a different veggie dish and we were both pleased and impressed

But with the garlic bread to me it tasted like mostly toast, I couldn't taste garlic

And in the driving all over stage we went to Burry Port for a look. They couldn't feed us as the room was privately booked but they did confirm that tomorrows Folk Club is on

And I couldn't find the code to put a background colour on a piece of txt, because I wanted one here, and good lord, I found clues like add this 76 lines of code to the tag etc, and was starting to think "I mustn't have done this before, perhaps I am remembering falsley.

Then at last I found 1 line of code to put anywhere on the page to work

Paulism

So this morning Paul came round. We talked briefly then went to town. There we went shopping bought 2 swimming trunks, an XL and an XXXXXL. We also bought some sweets, shhh. We came back and the XL trunks fitted so we went back to Tescos and got a refund on the XXXXXL ones. The ones that fitted were £3 (minus 25% at the till). The returned ones were £7 (minus 25% at the till)

Hot

Good lord, it is now 10PM, I have been sat outside under the sky for more than 20 minutes just wearing a T-shirt and a pair of trews, and it is still so hot

It's now nearly midnight and I sat outside for 5 mins before heading to bed, still in my T-shirt

Edding

So Ed came over this morning, we chatted for a bit then set off to head for Dynamic Rock Adventure, the Rock Climbing place, in Swansea. It's 2 junctions past Swansea West but it is still called Swansea North. Anyway we went there, he said I'll just go and see how to enter you, came back 2 minutes later and said "Closed 'til 12 o'clock, where shall we go?". I said that soon after 12 I would be looking for lunch so why didn't we head back for an early lunch then we can come back and play. So as we headed back to Carmarthen we passed a lorry, I asked "I wonder if that's my car being delivered?". After lunch we headed back to the Climbing Centre and good lord, all I can say is "Wow". It was a free visit for us today as we weren't climbing but I am rather impressed, I think we will go back, if we can sort out some hassle(1), and have a go

Sweets

I have just had ½ packet of Jelly Babies that I bought while I was out and about s'morning. I don't remember having any in the last eight years but they are as nice as ever

Oops, I thought tonight I better check the best before date on the 3 small yoghurt's in the fridge. Today it is the 1st of June, the 3 yoghurt's had the date 3rd. As in one tonight, one tomorrow, one on Friday. Phew, it was just in time when I checked

Paulish

So today Paul came round s'morning. We talked for a bit, he listened to me talking about slopy writing etc, got me to practice on a variety of slopes then said "I will make you one". Then we went to town, went and got a tape measure so I could measure my waist so Paul can get me some trunx. While we were in there I walked the whole length of the shop and stayed standing while I got myself some sweets. Then we went and had a cheese and onion pasty out of the bakers so we were in town in time to go to the Podiatrist who cut all my toenails including the one I hadn't been able to cut as it's an in growing toenail but it all feels a lot better. We asked if we can make another appt. to go back next month he said "No, we can;'t just cut toe nails, cant someone from Leonard Cheshire do it?". We had to say "No, they are not allowed" but him and Paul arranged for Paul and Ed (and presumably Jackie) to be trained(!!!) so they will be "allowed" to cut my toenails before my feet are such a mess that I am able to ask him again

And today I was able to write better than I have been in years, I went online and looked for help devices but they were all too dear but it occurred to be I just need a tilt, like a file sideways!!!

And I finally figured out how to make my hand held PC device read a book online today, so I was able to sit reading on it

And yes, that beautiful daughter came to see me earlier

And good lord we had the dinner that Sarah advised me on today, I enjoyed it but Freya said "Don't like courgettes" but apart from them seemed to eat it all up well

OT

So Sarah the OT came round with a bag of ingredients and we cooked together a risotto for tonight. It tastes good so far and was very easy to make, so it might go on my "regular" list of dishes to cook

And I have just finished a book, a Spike Milligan poetry book that I have been reading for a few days, I finished the old fashioned paper edition today

Edding

So Ed came here s'morning, helped me change the bed, did some chores then took me to Morrisons shopping. He waited while I went round the back to recycle then followed me in. I went in through the gates, pulled out of the way. I stood up and pushed my trolley. He followed behind with my 'chair in case I needed it. He guided me where to go, he could read overhead signs but I was to busy walking. Half way round I asked for my wheelchair. I sat down for 5 minutes resting, stationary. Then I walked with my trolley rest of way round the shop, through till, and pushed it over to the wall beyond THEN I sat back down in my wheelchair. My whole weeks shopping, on foot. It was by far the furthest I have walked in ages

After lunch we went out for a drive, to Llandovery and over the Black Mountain but we missed the turnoff and got stuck half way up't mountain, had to turn around and come back. It was still a lovely drive tho

Like it was over the mountain on this blue thing which I missed and carried on to Llandovery

Gobsmacked

And I was sitting here (using my 'puter) later when there was a knock at the door. I went to see who was there and it was my old friend Julie and her current lodger, my son Toby. I went dribble for half an hour then they left. They will be in Wales 'til Thursday so I hope to see them again.

And I noticed that when they stood up to go Toby put his glass in't kitchen and put his chair back out of my way, he does care

Bloody Sunday

Poetry

So today I went over to look on my bookshelves, I couldn't find the book I was looking for but I found a book by Spike Milligan which I took out. I opened it, it said "Book of poems", I thought "Oh" but tried reading it anyway. A few pages later I came across a poem which made me smile

So I turned on t'telly because there was a F1 qualifying session on, I watched it for about 3 minutes then someone, Sergio Perez, crashed big style and they are still trying to get the driver out

Apparently he is OKish now

And I turned it on again to watch Man U play in some European Final, but they lost too

Sense of smell

So last night in my living room I spilled a glass of sloe gin. So I mopped it up etc but today I had to ask a MOS "My sense of smell disnae work, does it smell of booze over there?", he sniffed, moved 7 inches, sniffed again etc, and said "No smell".

So phew

Wow (Redone now)

So Paul came round today and caught up with the paperwork that it was too late to do last night, then Sara the Physio came round so we all set off for the gym. Just double good lord, I did it well, managed to walk on the treadmill, grimaced on the pedalling machine, was astonished at how straight up my right arm could be on the lifting weights machine etc. So we made another date in a fortnight to go back and sign up etc. My new hobby.....

Then we ventured in and had a look at the swimming pool, we have agreed that I am allowed to wear t-shirt to hide my flab and just walk in the pool, none of this swimming stuff which is nearly impossible but they say that just walking about in the water for half an hour will do me good

So one of next weeks agenda is to go buy some trunks

OAA

Wow, so me and Freya went to the monthly folk club and it was very special

Ed

So I went off with Ed to (Voluntary) Work, which went well, we had updated the web in about 4 minutes then got stuck into trying to design a new flier for them, I don't think it is very good so far, no background etc, but "they" sounded very pleased. More to do in a fortnight when we go back (as we had to tell 'em today), there is no point going every week, there is not enough for me to do

Waking

So I woke up, got dressed today, reached into my drawer and took out my tablets. I took one hay-fever tablet out and dropped it onto the floor. No sign, it had gone. When Paul came here I asked him, he reached under about 6-8 inches and pulled my tablet out from under the bed

Wow

So Paul came here s'morning, we talked and he did some chores for a bit, then we went out and bought some more sweets, as on Friday I start at the gym and I shouldn't eat as many then. Then we went to a different shop and bought another bottle of sloe gin to replace the one that I broke last night. I went into the shop in my 'chair, went to the end of the aisle, stood up and walked behind my 'chair with the basket on the seat. I walked up the aisle, got gin and a bottle of water to take to the gym on Friday, turned and walked to the til. I stood there and paid, walked towards the door. By now Paul was saying "Don't overdo it", I walked to the doors, walked out of the doors and walked across the car park where I finally sat down again in the car

The furthest I have walked in over eight years!!!

How f*cked

Oh, and we talked about how f*c*ed I was, about how my right knee was broken but healed itself as they were busy, how my right wrist was broken, about how they used to shake me by the right hand when I was having a fit, while my right wrist was broken and not noticed yet..... And he reminded me of how they couldn't keep me breathing when they were waiting for the Air Ambulance.....

So me and Paul are travelling over to Bristol today so I can be assessed for my claim. Dunno what that means or what they are gonna do.... Wait and see

Flip, we have done it, 3 hrs in the car, met my father who had flown over for the meeting, had a delicious dinner, went and that chap talked about how f*cked I am/was, then said goodbye to my Dad, came back.

Where I tried to reach into the cupboard to place the 3 sugars I had got from the services in, and managed to knock out a whole bottle of sloe gin, which broke into a million pieces went everywhere, I had to get some of their staff to help

Since Then

Since then I have been sort of coming to terms with my new enormous piece of work in my mouth. And hopefully my next visit to the dentist (040711) when she takes out 2 teeth I think that will be the last for now, it all seems under control ATM so hopefully

Wiv Ed

So first of all Ed took me shopping, I didn't take the recycling this week as we are in a hurry but we got all shopping that we needed, came home, put it away then set off to the dentists. There I had 3 injections .... she gave me the first, it still hurt, gave me the second it still hurt, then the 3rd which actually made my tooth numb, she gave me 3 injections, drilled as far down as Australia then filled my tooth up. She said there is only 5% of my tooth left now, 95% filling

And the injections have worn off now, just b4 dinner time, it feels OK, no pain or...

So I wasn't able to eat proper food or drink coffee at lunchtime. At about 2.00 I tried a cuppa tea which was at first dead difficult but by the end much easier and I ate a packet of sweets for lunch at about 3.00

So up by 8AM s'morning after I put my splint in and took tablets. My right foot is a bit achy s'morning but not three bad, so really dunno. It doesn't hurt now so.....
Marginally upset, dentist s'morning, my teeth are such a mess after my accident and then not cleaning then for about 3 years

So Helen came into my room to do some stuff earlier. As I get confused I showed her the online pics of Helen The Hat, a traveller who I used to see occasionally when I lived at Happy Valley and while we were looking at some pages a tune come on by The Levellers who I used to own loadsa tapes by but I haven't thought about them in 8 years, I no longer can play tapes (even illegally copied ones), so I went online and bought 3 albums by them

Sunday Bl**dy Sunday

So I got up s'morning, after I sat on the edge of my bed and took my many tablets and put my splint on etc it was still just 8AM. Last night, or s'morning, I felt a pain in my right lower leg again, although it didn't wake me up but upon waking I wriggled a bit and it hurt.

So it seems that after it hurt a few days ago that my right ankle hasn't been hurting since, so dunno, it might be 'cos it is joining up again or maybe not, who know

Early Night

Good lord I feel now as if it is about 5 o'clock in't morning whereas it's only 11 o'clock, this getting up early is catching up with me now

Gosh, what a day. First of all I went to docs with Paul and apologised for forgetting my allergies and got some hay-fever med off him. When I was there I said I have just opened my last brown 'haler but as I am here as we speak can I have another.

Then we went to Boots to hand in our 'scripts and while I was waiting I bought some multivitamins. So the drawer by my bed is now looking a bit full, asthma med, hay fever tabs, and multi vits.

Then we came back here while Sara tested me and my balance etc.

More to the point she said "When you get wheezy it might be nerves not asthma, tell yourself to breath calmer and see it that works". So I tried it next time I got wheezy and blinkin' flip, it did work so more notes to tell the doc in a fortnight when we see him about Asthma

And again she said "Walk more indoors Neil"

6.00AM

When I went to bed last night I thought I closed the curtain. So A) Either I didn't, or B) Someone came into my flat when I was asleep and opened it again but didn't steal owt.

Ho hum, a busy day involving the doctor etc but loadsa time to have my breakfast now....

So reading a story today about someone who was ill~er than me having an operation I probably wouldn't be willing to go thru but it set me thinking

So first thing tomorrow I have to go to the Doctor and tell him I can't recall what I am allergic to so can he give me some hay-fever medicine, and I MAW get some inhaler 'scripts as I am there with a lift to Carmarthen, to a chemist.

Then Sara Daris, the Physio who is going to the gym with me next week, is coming in.

Work

So me and Ed drove miles to the Wildlife Trust offices and did more work on a PC there.

Well, me and Paul were in town today. We went shopping, bought a Money Box for me to save my pennies in. More excitingly we....

More excitingly we went into the gym at Carmarthen Leisure Centre, had a look around and a converse with the staff, basically I will go back next week with Sara, my temporary Physio and go, then perhaps every week, with Paul or Ed

So I woke up early s'morning as my right ankle was hurting loads. I couldn't move it up or down, bend or straighten it, without my 'broken' ankle hurting loads. It doesn't hurt now but walking to the loo this morning was very difficult

I wonder if it's because some bits are coming back to life again?

Well my ankle hasn't hurt since, so dunno, I will keep an eye on it tho....

Fixing

Tonight some of the BLOG pages that disappeared in the past have come back so I need to post them to an old date IYSWIM

Freya

Then Freya came along and had her dinner amongst other things. I got a bit upset because I will be away while they go "We will pay you f. all" next week, when my daughter, who I have missed more than half her life, was supposed to be here

AND the dinner that me and Sarah made was nice but too dry, it needed fewer bread crumbs or some gravy or summat

Mmmm

Then Sarah the OT came along and we cooked together, Aubergine Parmigiana, which I haven't tasted but it looks good, to go in the oven when Freya arrives. There was loadsas hassle griddling the OrgyBeans it took ages, there is no way I would do that alone but there are other versions of the recipe which will be much quicker to cook. Can't wait 'til me and Freya try it later

Scared

I received a scary letter s'morning. Initially I thought "I'm not taking a taxi that far" but after speaking to members of my family they already knew, my Dad will meet me there and Denyse is going to arrange transport. Aargh and Ho Hum

What a day

Wow.

Well firstly this morning I helped Ed change my bed, then we went shopping in Morrison's(1) where I noticed that the "Vegetarian ready meals" section in the freezer was much bigger than before, so polite applause for that. Then we came back here with the shopping and I had lunch and a coffee without sharing. Then we went out for a drive, "Where shall we go Neil". First of all we went to Dryslwyn Castle, near where we lived many moons ago, which made me heart beat faster even tho I couldn't walk up to it, but it felt special anyway.

Then we went onwards with Ed following my directions into Gelli Aur Country Park. He sounded surprised and pleased as he had never heard of it. Good lord, the visitors centre was even nicer than when I worked there but the college in there, where I did an HND many moons ago has got wrecked. The college is now apparently somewhere else but the old building is still there, with no roof now

(1) Where we had to wait for ages and listen to some bumf to get given, in the end, a free veggie cutting tool

Work

Then I went to the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales to work. It seemed a bit more organised today, by us rather, so we got it together for them quite quickly, then we had to find parts of photos which will be used in their competition soon

So later today I am going to May Day at Glynabbey. Hopefully it will be good. A bit scary, not very wheelchair accessible but we will try, me and Paul

Just generally WOW it was cool, we managed, new path in part of it, just generally well cool. We spent much of the 'noon in the music tent, it was very good

Lie In

So my clock said 9.01 when I got up today, a decadent lie in...

Then after lunch Denyse came back, 5 mins later the door knocked again and it was Sara the new Physio. We met talked for ages about what I need to do and we made an appointment for her too see me next week.

Then the door knocked again, 3 times and it was Ed, Paul and Jackie who were taking about caring for me, what is involved etc

And when all 4 of my employees were here I unveiled my new hat

Busy Day

So I started off this morning with Paul, we chatted briefly then he took me to the Grasslands Trust at Carmel where we were driving about making notes and taking pictures of any litter. Some of the litter we didn't have to photograph as we photographed it a fortnight ago, but no one has picked up. Me and Paul conversed about this and basically decided if it hasn't been cleared in a fortnight there is no point in us photo-ing.

When we came back we had to go to Tesco's to buy some cheese and onion pasties and my recent liking, some custard tarts

Broken

So this morning when I typed in "Lie In" for the first time then it said "Nah, BLOG is broken" and forgot it and wouldn't let me sign in again.

Later this afternoon when Ed brought me back from work I tried again and "Phew, it works now"

WT

Well amongst other stuff that was happening yesterday (the BLOG page has disappeared)

I was at the Wildfowl and Wildlife Trust doing stuff on their PC. I had to find loadsa picks both on their net and the Interweb and they will be used in a "Which animal or plant is this?" competition

Sh*t

So just now I went out, I was sitting looking at the road. Then a passing bird sh*t on my arm in passing. I thought "No" reached for a tissue, then thought again and reached for my camera first. Except my camera was still plugged into my PC, I had forgotten to put it back earlier, I had to get it back later

Shopping

So with Paul we went shopping, got another new bum bag but this time identical to last weeks died one so I instinctively reach for the right pocket, and a new first aid box with some plasters and Germolene(1) etc

(1) Because my middle finger on my right hand I bit the nail a bit extravagantly

What an afternoon, I felt like shit but was pleased to see Freya and she seems to be maturing into an 80's rock chick instead of a modern poptress which I approve of

So my alarm clock went off early s'morning, I got up and waited for the man to do the "Annual Service of Heating" as they emailed me and said twixt 8AM and 12AM. But this wasn't a number of hours check, just that he was doing everyone's in the street and he would be here between.... At 9AM he arrived, checked the heating etc, interrupted me paying my leccy bill online but it is all dun now. He has finished and left, I finished my payment, all dun and dusted

Ed 2

And he came back and took me to the Headway meeting which was actually more interesting than expected. There was a rep of STAR who was talking a lot of sense about training folk back into work or work related stuff. Up until now I have thought "Nah, when I have got my claim I won't need to work and I don't wanna" but I may be bored and this talk attracted my attention and I may get in touch with them in the future

Ed number 1

So I had Ed take me to Morrisons to do some shopping, all good etc.
Then, as he wasn't changing my bed this week, we were at a loose end so we drove off to Whitland to see if I could find the house Bob and Dot (the organic farmers I worked for ages ago) but Whitland seems really different and I couldn't see owt today

And Ed is coming back later to take me to Headway. He phoned me yesterday and said "Wanna combine 2 items?" but I said if I go shopping, then come back here and have to cook an evening meal with you watching it won't work, so no ta, keep it at 2
